Out of all music genres, and the millions of songs i could choose, my favorite song is a deep house song called BYOB by Alok. The song is relatively simple, and it's purpose is to get the audience to dance with it's fun beat. There's only one sentence in the some and it says "Everybody's going to the party, have a real good time". The purpose if this sentence is to show that the song is meant for enjoyment in a social environment. The audience is people who like deep house music, or people at a party. This song does not have any direct rhetorical appeals, but if there was one it would be pathos because the musician is trying to get the audience to dance and show emotion. The style of music connects with the content, like i said previously, through the upbeat drop of the music as well as the lyrics going with it. The genre conventions for this genre are that only certain people can listen to it, and that most deep house music is boring because it is repetitive but I disagree, because I enjoy the music and this specific song is not long or dragged out.
